The HAI SL-5000 was the first slit lamp with live digital imaging to hit the market. In 1999, the National Eye Institute chose our system over other name brand competitors for one of their studies. Fast forward eight years — all of the image and video clips used in the JCAHPO & CLAO Contact Lens Learning Systems CD released at the AAO Meeting in 2007 were provided by SL-5000 users.

Most recently, the 2012 San Diego Specialty Contact Lens Symposium utilized multiple SL-5000 systems to stream live patient lens fitting workshops to large-screen projections, demonstrating the system’s robust capabilities as a tool for education.

    HAI SL-5000 Slit Lamp Series

    SL-5000s Standard Model
    The HAI SL-5000s Standard Model Slit Lamp System is a high quality, full-featured slit lamp with color video sequencing that allows real-time image capture. It offers both a large range of viewing depths and five levels of magnification from 6x to 40x. Interfaces directly with HAI IMS / CL Software.

    SL-5000p Plus Model
    The HAI SL-5000p Plus Model is a premium-quality slit lamp built on the same great foundation as the SL-5000s, with the addition of a 14mm slit.

    SL-5000b Basic Model
    The HAI SL-5000b is an affordable solution that provides optimum evaluation for most slit lamp tasks. Although the basic model cannot be upgraded to digital video, it offers a large range of viewing depths, full set of filters, and two magnification levels of 10x and 16x.

    Anterior Segment Camera Upgrades

    Upgrade your slit lamp to a 3CCD video camera for anterior segment observation and photography. Functions include real-time video sequence capture and playback, rapid still snapshot mode, and integrated image and patient data management.
